Privacy policy

Last updated October 30, 2026.

ToolSpruce (https://toolspruce.com) is a static website of file tools. This policy explains what happens to files you convert and what the site itself can see.

Files you convert

Images and PDFs are processed locally in your browser, using JavaScript and, on some pages, WebAssembly. They are not uploaded to ToolSpruce. We do not operate a file server, we do not receive the contents of those files, and we do not keep a copy after you close the tab. The download your browser saves is yours.

New files created by the tools — a JPG exported from a HEIC, a merged PDF, a resized PNG — contain the pixels or pages you asked for. They do not copy camera metadata or GPS location from the original.

Hosting

The site is static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript delivered by a host such as Cloudflare Pages. Like any website, the host can see ordinary request logs: IP address, user agent, the URL of the page, and the time. Those logs are about loading the site, not about the contents of your files. ToolSpruce does not add a separate analytics product and does not set analytics cookies.

Advertising and cookies

Pages include labeled ad slots with a reserved height. Until Google AdSense is switched on in the site configuration, those slots are empty placeholders. In that state ToolSpruce does not load the AdSense script and does not set advertising cookies.

When AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads. That can include a cookie identifying your browser across sites that use Google advertising. You can control ad personalization atGoogle’s ad settings, and you can read how Google uses data for ads inGoogle’s advertising technologies policy. Ads are separated from the tools and marked “Advertisement” so they are not part of the file buttons.
